WELCOME

Mr Phillip Bowen and Mr Joseph Barford formed the club in 1939, and 70 years later it is still going strong. Those of us that get the photographic bug can get so much more out of the hobby by joining up with people having the same interest. Over time those people become friends, and, during competitions, rivals. We are a club that tries not to take things too seriously. We actively help and encourage new members to take better photographs. Photographs are memories of a moment in time, a special place or a special event. Something to look back on and hopefully brings a smile to your face. Our aim is to help you improve your picture taking, in an easy going relaxed and friendly club.Photography has changed so much since our club first started, and now we are in the Digital Age, the changes are even more staggering. At DCC, we accept any creative form of photography. So if you are a traditionalist, if you develop and print your images, or if you create masterpieces from your computer or if you just want to see other peoples work and don’t wish to compete, Dagenham Camera Club is the place to be.
